Visit of Professor Lee Elliott Major (Professor of Social Mobility, University of Exeter)

On Friday 25th March, Author and Professor of Social Mobility, Lee Elliott Major, visited A level Politics and Sociology students for a talk on Social Inequality, Mobility & what this generation of students can do about it! Lee talked about his own experience of leaving school at 15 & leaving home, before deciding to return to school to get his qualifications.

Formerly of the Sutton Trust (a leading charity and think tank on social reform and educational opportunity), Lee now lectures at the University of Exeter, commentates in the national press on these issues and has advised the government on its latest educational white paper. The students asked insightful questions on education, leadership & asked for his advice on how to fulfil their potential. It was a wonderful & inspiring afternoon!
