Dear parents/carers

I have exciting news!

Over the Easter break the school completed its long-term plan to refurbish our IT systems and computer hardware. This project will have many benefits for the entire school community, and enhance the quality of education for our students. This significant financial commitment is backed by Governors who believe that it is a priority in fulfilling our aspirations of giving our students the best education possible.

Benefits of the new system include:

• Larger excellent monitors (at least 23” across the school) with better adjustment functions.
• Top performing computers based on the latest Intel Generation 8 Processor.
• Windows 10 on the new improved latest update from Microsoft.
• New latest software to support teaching and learning e.g. Adobe Creative Suite for DT students.
• New network infrastructure (switches and cabling) to fully support a true 1GB network.

The overall experience of the new system will allow the students and staff to be able to work more efficiently using a fast and flexible system.
