This year's Deaf Awareness week was incredible! The DSP team planned a number of exciting events and the whole school enjoyed celebrating this special week. Our former Deaf student delivered inspirational assemblies sharing her own experience of being Deaf and the challenges she faced in school and every day life, but this did not stop her from achieving her goals and being the best that she can be.

We also had a special guest, Chris Fonseca (from the greatest dancer competition) who spoke to students about his love and passion for music and how being deaf did not stop him from enjoying music and becoming one of the greatest dancers! His performance left everyone in awe! Our DSP students also took part in the jewelry workshop which was delivered by Becky Baily, a Deaf photographer and jewelry designer. Finally, we had a non-uniform day and cake sale and we managed to raise £868.82. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Moriarty, St Augustine's staff and students as well as parents for their support to make this week a great success!
