Take the Lead with the Old Vic theatre

Year 12 programme

This is the third year in a row that we are running ‘Take the Lead’ programme in partneship with the Old Vic theatre. The programme, which runs over a few weeks uses drama techniques and proves to be very benefitial as it helps our year 12 students develop invaluable transferable skills. Students are taken out of their comfort zone and challenged through a series of tasks with the ultimate aim of becoming confident in pitching and presenting in front of an audience, which will come in handy when entering the world of work.

The Old Vic’s expertise as a theatrical institution put together the programme to include creative, fun and engaging workshops, special events, online resources to develop five employability skills: communication, self-management, self-belief, teamwork and problem solving.
