St Augustine’s is delighted to see a 46% increase in the number of students achieving Grade 8 and 9 in a range of different subjects this year. Year 11 students have also performed well in securing both English and Maths grades, with students achieving more grade 9-4’s in both subjects compared with last academic year.
Nearly 89% of Year 11 students achieved a Grade 9-4 in GCSE Biology, with more than 80% also achieving a Grade 9-5 in GCSE Chemistry and 85% in GCSE Physics. 80% of students achieved a Grade 9-4 in English Language, 82% in GCSE Graphics, 77% in Psychology and 75% in GCSE Maths.

In addition to the overall success, several individual students have achieved exceptional results:
- Aliana Al Khalil achieved a remarkable 7 x Grade 9s in Business, Combined Science, English Language, English Literature, Maths, RS and 2 x Grade 8s in French and Geography
- Ibtehal Babar achieved a Grade 9 in Biology, Chemistry, English Language, Geography, History, RS and Grade 8 in English Literature, Maths and Physics
- Shariati Abdurajak achieved a Grade 9 in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geography, Maths, Physics, Grade 8 in English Language, RS and Grade 7 in English Literature
- Andrew Coutinho Romeu achieved Grade 9 in English Language, Grade 8 in Drama, English Literature, Geography, Portuguese, RS, Grade 7 in History, Science Grade 76 and Grade 6 in Maths
- Ridha Alsaadi was commended for outstanding progress, achieving 2 or 3 grades above their target grades in all subjects, securing 4 Grade 8’s and 5 Grade 7s.
Aliana Al Khalil added: “I am so happy and also relieved. I was shocked to see the results and can’t wait to tell my family. All the hard work has paid off”

As students now look ahead to their next steps, many will be continuing their studies at St Augustine’s Sixth Form, where they will embark on A-levels or vocational qualifications, building on the success of the Year 13 results last week.
